My art is expressed through fiber art, a technique that uses cotton threads, cords, and other recycled materials, applied to canvases or upcycled supports. This practice allows me to create works where materials and textures merge to generate compositions rich in meaning and dynamism.
To add dimension to the works, I integrate papier-mâché, paperclay, and hardened fabric, techniques that enable me to sculpt and mold the surface, enhancing the visual and tactile experience. Fiber art has its roots in ancient weaving and braiding practices, evolving into a contemporary art form that explores new possibilities in form, color, and texture. Today, fiber art is a versatile language that invites exploration of the relationship between materials, form, and depth, opening up infinite creative possibilities.
