About me

My name is Alice and I am an artist who weaves roots and visions. I was born and raised on the Aeolian Islands, where the sea merges with the wind, and later moved to Naples to attend art school. Afterwards, I moved to Rome to study Graphics and Art Direction at the IED, where I still live today.
After working for almost a decade as a graphic designer and art director, collaborating with agencies and clients, I felt something was missing: a space of my own where I could explore my inner world and share it with others.
In 2023, motherhood prompted me to review my priorities and my time. I left my job to dedicate myself completely to my art, finding in fibre art a language capable of weaving the threads of my personal history with universal themes.
In my works I use yarns and ropes, often glued onto recycled canvases or natural materials. I love working with what already has a history, transforming it into something new. I also integrate three-dimensional techniques such as papier-mâché, paperclay and hardened fabric, as I believe that art should not only be looked at, but also perceived in its physicality.
My works explore nature, the relationship with oneself and the journey towards self-improvement. Each painting is a silent dialogue between what we are and what we can become. Motherhood, the role of women in society and the landscapes of my childhood are the themes that inspire me the most, fuelled by the journey of inner growth I have undertaken through psychotherapy.
I believe that art is a bridge between different worlds: between past and future, between me and the observer. Each work is an invitation to stop and find our own thread, the one that connects us to our most authentic essence.
